From Self to Self

48 Advaita-Cards

These cards combine essential statements of the Advaita teacher Karl Renz with paintings of the artist Sitara E. Eggeling. Karl Renz calls his talks Self-Talks (monologues) since the Self talks to the Self. The speaker, what is spoken, and the listener are the One Self. The selected sentences are deep, hit directly, and at the same time are humorous.

For example:
“You look through the eyes of the others to see yourself.
- When you die, don’t take it personally.”...

'Draw a card and let it affect you.'
Since the words are self-evident, they remind you of what you are: the truth of your existence – not what you believe to be. The colourful and meditative paintings have a supporting and deepening effect on a non-rational level. They resonate with the respective verses and open another dimension. It is spoken to That which, as Karl says, doesn't understand with the mind.
No matter which card you are drawing, it is always the right one!

Du Soi au Soi - 48 cartes Advaïta

Ces cartes combinent les paroles essentielles de Karl Renz, enseignant advaïtin, avec les tableaux de l'artiste Sitara E. Eggeling. Karl Renz nomme ses entretiens « les monologues du Soi » étant donné que c'est au Soi que parle le Soi. L'orateur, ce qui est dit et l'auditeur sont le Soi unique. Les phrases choisies sont profondes, elles vont droit au but et sont en même temps humoristiques.

Par example:
“Tu regardes à travers les yeux
des autres pour to voir toi-même. -
Lorsque tumourras, ne le prends pas personnellement.” ....

« Tire une carte et laisse-là te pénétrer. »

Par leur évidence même, les mots te rappellent ce que tu es, la vérité de ton existence et non ce que tu crois être. Les peintures méditatives et hautes en couleurs approfondissent et renforcent le sens des mots à un niveau non rationnel. En résonance avec les vers respectifs, elles leur donnent une dimension supplémentaire. Les cartes parlent à Cela qui, comme dit Karl, ne comprend pas avec le mental.

Quelle que soit la carte tirée, c'est toujours la bonne !
